Command Line Usage

Like most any program, VEE can be started from a command line. This can be quite useful given some of the options available. A summary is presented below, though more details are available for the interested used.

Command Line Options

usage: veetest [options]

    -d <directory> - set the install directory
    -geometry - set the initial window geometry
    -help - print this message
    -iconic - start up the window minimized
    -maximize - start up the window maximized
    -addmenu <filename> - load the specified menu at startup and insert into existing menu
    -menu <filename> - replace the default menu with the specified one
    -noerrdisp - don't display the errors (use with -r)
    -nologo - don't show the copyright/Logo box
    -r <filename> - load and run a program file
    -secure <filename> - create secured program
    -veeio <filename> - use veeio info from this file
    filename - load a program file

• Run a specific VEE program.
  • vee.exe //home/stan/vee/compileAllPrograms.vee  loads the specified program
  • vee.exe //home/stan/vee/compileAllPrograms.vee  loads and runs the specified program
• Secure a directory full of VEE programs
  • vee.exe -secure //home/stan/project/*.vee
• Load a custom menu instead of the default menu and load a program
• vee.exe -menu myMenu.mnu myProject.vee

Installs

• HP300 - HPUX tarball- ??MB - unpack and place wherever you want
• HP700 - HPUX tarball- ??MB - unpack and place wherever you want
• Sun
• Windows 95 and NT
