Dear Phil,
Further to our telecon here is the latest information converning VEE.
Keysight had been spending effort on examining VEEs supportability on the Windows 10 platform. We also carried out evaluations on possibly upgrading VEE to enable its interaction with 64-bit external applications, as is the direction of modern software platforms.
 
Following the above-mentioned extensive assessment, findings showed us that the supportability and upgrade will not be feasible without a substantial, exponential increase in total effort and investment. VEE will remain non-supportable on native 64-bit and/or .NET 4.x applications, and interaction is limited to 32-bit applications such as MathWorks, Microsoft Office and .NET APIs.
 
VEE will not be officially supported on the Windows 10 platform. Users who need to migrate to Windows 10 can still run VEE programs on it, albeit with some restrictions due to the loss of some capabilities after the migration. In light of the issues around post-migration, we will avail a self-help document for your download, where you will see a list of known issues, as well as potential workarounds for installing and using VEE on Windows 10. Keysight maintains its support for VEE 9.32 on Windows 7, right up until Microsofts support for Windows 7 ends in 2020.
 
The way forward
Keysight is focused on solution development environments that offer greater flexibility in the areas of test and development. Two of such platforms are the Test Automation Platform and BenchVue Platform. These next-generation platforms are designed to address broader engineering test and development needs.
